Benefits of facial massage for the skin

A facial massage is a treatment you can have with a professional practitioner or skin care therapist or perform on your own. It involves stimulating pressure points on the face, neck, and shoulders using various techniques. Facial massage helps promote healthy skin while relaxing your facial muscles. It has a relaxing and rejuvenating effect.

When performing a facial massage it is important to use an oil, lotion or balm suited to your skin. This provides slip which will allow the massage to be performed without damaging delicate skin. Additionally, by selecting a product that has benefits for the skin, the massage can enable the product to work deeper into the layers of the skin delivering nourishment.
